A: Our mission is to unite and empower Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals in Minnesota, creating networking opportunities, fostering economic development, and addressing social and economic issues in our community.

A: You can join BBN by filling out our Membership Registration Form available on the Membership page.

A: BBN is open to all Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals in Minnesota. We welcome members from various industries and business stages.

A: ESNDC is our fiscal agent. To donate to the Black Business Network (BBN) through our fiscal agent, ESNDC, please add the following to the 'Black Business Network (BBN)' section. This ensures your donation supports BBN’s mission and programming.

Business Directory

A: Complete the “Submit a Business” form on our Business Directory page. We’ll review your submission and add your listing once approved.

A: No, listing in the directory is free for BBN members.

A: Being listed provides increased visibility within the BBN network, access to potential clients, and inclusion in BBN’s promotional efforts.

Membership

A: BBN members receive access to networking events, business development resources, mentorship programs, the BBN Business Directory, and our supportive community.

A: The BBN Builders Club is our donation-based membership program with added benefits, including exclusive event access, recognition, and impact reports. It allows members to support BBN’s mission further while enjoying special perks.

A: Basic membership is free, but joining the BBN Builders Club requires a monthly or one-time donation, offering additional benefits.

A: Membership donations support BBN’s programs, workshops, community events, and resources for Black-owned businesses. Visit our donation impact page to see a breakdown of how funds are used.

Partnership & Sponsorship

A: Visit our Sponsorship page to review available tiers and benefits, and fill out the interest form to start the process.

A: Our sponsorship tiers range from Community Partner to Platinum Partner, each with specific benefits such as website recognition, event visibility, and exclusive BBN apparel. Detailed tier information is available on the Sponsorship page.

A: Partners receive brand visibility, networking access within the BBN community, and opportunities to collaborate on events and programs that align with BBN’s mission.

Events

A: Check our Event Calendar on the Events page, where you’ll find all upcoming workshops, networking events, and community activities.

A: Some events are open to the public, while others are exclusive to BBN members or sponsors. Event descriptions on the calendar will specify access details.

A: You can register directly through our Event Calendar. For events with limited space, please register early to secure your spot.

Resources

A: BBN offers a variety of resources, including grants and loan information, business planning tools, marketing resources, and legal guides for business structuring.

A: Yes, mentorship is one of our key offerings. Members can request mentorship through our internal mentorship form, available to members only

A: BBN offers select small business services to uplift Black-owned businesses, such as marketing support, business card design, and discounted software setup.
