BBN Business Ascend
A 12-month cohort program providing assessment, coaching, and technical assistance to support business growth.
About the Program
BBN Business Ascend is a 12-month, assessment-driven cohort designed to help Black-owned businesses strengthen operations, improve financial readiness, and build a clear plan for sustainable growth. Participants receive structured analysis, personalized planning, ongoing coaching, and targeted technical assistance aligned to their needs.
How it Works
Assess
Complete a structured business assessment across operations, finances, branding/marketing, and growth goals.
Plan
Receive a personalized growth plan and a custom dashboard to track progress, organize resources, and guide next steps.
Implement
Meet monthly for 1:1 coaching with a primary consultant, with specialized support added as needed based on findings.
Sustain
Continue accountability check-ins and progress tracking through the cohort period to support long-term growth readiness.
Support Included
Monthly 1:1 coaching and check-ins with a primary consultant to guide implementation, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain progress toward cohort goals.
Based on assessment findings, businesses may be matched with specialized consultants such as web design, branding, culinary consulting, supply chain/operations support, or packaging redesign.
Businesses may receive limited conditional support for priority expenses that strengthen operations and visibility—such as POS systems, signage, packaging, equipment, branding assets, or other critical needs—based on program structure and available funding.
Participants receive access to a personalized dashboard to track progress, organize tools and resources, and stay connected. Cohort members can share questions and learn from one another, with continued access as new cohorts launch.
