Black Business Network (BBN) Terms of Service

  1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the services provided by the Black Business Network (BBN), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services. BBN reserves the right to update these terms periodically. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
  2. Description of Services BBN offers resources, networking events, business directories, workshops, mentorship programs, and other services to support Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. These services are provided both online and in person, and may require separate registration or fees. The specific details of each service, including pricing (if applicable), are available on our website or through direct inquiry.
  3. User Responsibilities You agree to:
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration or form submissions.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials (where applicable).
  • Use BBN services in a lawful manner and for their intended purposes.
  • Refrain from infringing upon the rights of BBN or other users, including intellectual property rights.
  • Refrain from uploading, sharing, or distributing inappropriate, defamatory, or illegal content through BBN platforms.

BBN reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if you violate these terms or engage in activities that harm the community.

  1. Intellectual Property All content, branding, logos, trademarks, and materials associated with BBN are the intellectual property of BBN or our licensors. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of these materials is prohibited without prior written permission from BBN. You may not modify, copy, or distribute any materials obtained through our services for commercial purposes.
  2. Privacy Policy BBN is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. Our Privacy Policy, which details our practices regarding information collection, use, and sharing, is incorporated into these Terms of Service. By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

 

  1. Payment and Refunds Certain BBN services, such as paid events or donation memberships, may require payment. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors, and by providing payment information, you authorize BBN or its authorized agents to process payments in accordance with your selected service.
  2. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, BBN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or personal injury. BBN’s liability for direct damages shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. You acknowledge that you are using BBN services at your own risk.
  3. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold BBN, its employees, directors, affiliates, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your violation of these Terms of Service, your use of our services, or your infringement on the rights of others.
  4. Modification of Services BBN reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any of its services at any time without notice. We will not be liable for any suspension or discontinuation of services, though we will make reasonable efforts to inform you in advance where possible.
  5. Governing Law These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms shall be exclusively brought in the courts of Minnesota, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
  6. Termination BBN reserves the right to terminate your access to our services at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to our community. Upon termination, all provisions of these terms that should survive termination shall remain in effect, including limitations of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property protections.
  7. Entire Agreement These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and BBN regarding the use of our services and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
